Jowat® offers a universal EVA hot melt adhesive "Brown/Brown" for edgebanding applications, suitable for a broad spectrum of materials and all standard edgebanding machines.
For bonding thermoplastic edge tapes (such as ABS, PP, PVC, PET, PMMA), resin-coated decorative paper, CPL, HPL, veneer edge tapes (with/without fleece lamination) and solid wood edges. In principle, the bonding properties and, if necessary, the backside priming of the edge materials must be checked for the application before use. Can be used for straight edges, soft forming and pre-coating.
Hot melt adhesive formulations are based on different polymers and resins, and are mixed with additives, such as pigments and stabilizers, which facilitates a broad spectrum of applications. When the adhesive cools, its cohesion increases and produces a strong and permanent bond between the substrates. Reactive hot melt adhesives undergo an additional, subsequent chemical crosslinking reaction which increases the resistance to high temperatures and moisture, and which ensures reliable adhesion in difficult conditions.
